⹡ 명칭 : 21세기침례교 선교훈련원 (영문: 21Century Baptist Missionary Training Center )

⹢ 설립목적 : 20세기 말과 다가오는 21세기를 맞이하여 국내외에 많은 선교사를 파송 하여 잃어버린 영혼을 추수하 며 예수그리스도의 지상명령을 성취하고자 교회 개척을 위해 필요한 자비량 선교사와 전임 선교사를 훈련하는데 그 목적이 있다.

⹣ 주사역 : 훈련원의 주된 사역은 선교사 후보생 훈련과 선교세미나 개최,급변하는 세계선교 정보수집 및 선교사 파 송에 있어서의 실제적인 준비를 도와주는데 있다.

⹤ 특징 : 본 훈련원은 성서침례교회(행당동)의 선교사역으로써 성서적인 독립침례교도의 신앙을 중심으로하여 순수 한 복음으로 교회 개척을 중심으로한 세계선교에 일익을 담당코자 하는 것이 특징이다.

⹥ 교육과정

1.교육기간 : 1년과정으로 매년 3월에 시작하여 다음해 2월에 수료를 원칙으로 한다.(1학기 3-6월, 2학기 9-12월)

수업은 야간에 주 2회 실시한다.(매주 월요일(7:30-10:00),과 토요일 오후5:00-9:20)

2.교육내용 : 기본적인 신학교육, 선교에 대한 총괄적인 교육, 개인구령훈련, 단기 선교여행, 언어훈련.

1) 신학 - 신구약개론. 성서교리. 변증학. 침례교 역사 및 특징

2) 선교학 - 선교학 일반개론. 선교역사. 선교지연구. 교회개척. 자비량선교 사역. 비교종교학, 타문화 연구. 리더 쉽

3) 개인구령 훈련 - 전도구령실습

4) 단기선교훈련 - 매년 7-8월중 선교지 훈련

5) 언어훈련 - 영어 및 중국어

A. 설립목적 (MISSION STATEMENT)

"21네기 침례교 선교훈련원"의 설립 목적은 타문화권의 성서적인 토착화된 교회를 성공적으로 개척할수 있는 선교사를 훈련시키는데 있다.(전임 및 자비량선교사)

본 훈련원은 하나님께서 교회에 주신 지상명령에 따라 선교살를 훈련시켜 교회를 개척하며, 필요에 따라 자국인에게 사역을 이양토록 한다.

The purpose of (BMTC) is to train individuals for cross-cultural church planting.

BMTC firmly believes that God has given the task of world evangelization to the local church. With the guidance of the Holy Scripture and the Spirit, BMTC is to offer a program that will not only equip the person to plant a church, but also to withdraw from and leave God's work to the hands of the nationals, as the Lord leads.

B. 훈련원의 특징 (DISTINCTIVES OF BMTC)

1. 본 훈련원은 성서침례교회(행당동)의 사역의 일원으로 동교회와 담임목사의 지시에 순응한다. 또한 훈련원의 설립은 하나님의 인도하심과 강인규 담임목사와 전교회 성도들의 기도와 헌신의 걸정체이다.

BMTC is a ministry of Bible Baptist Church (Hangdang-dong) and is under the leadership and influence of her pastor.

For many years, God has burdened the heart of Pastor In-Kyu Kang with the need to establish a Training Center for cross-cultural missionary training.

2. 본 훈련원은 근본주의 독립침례교회의 사역으로써 제반적인 가르침과 행정적인 처리면에서 동교회와 신앙노선을 일치한다.

As a ministry of one of the largest fundamental, independent Baptist churches in Korea, BMTC, as its name implies, is and will continue to be "Baptistic" in its teaching and administration.

3.본 훈련원은 서울 중심부에 위치함으로 실제적인 전도훈련, 교회헌신, 사회활동 및 직장면에서 용이하다. (국철, 지하철2호선, 5호선 왕십리전철셢이 가까이 있어 저녁을 이용한 훈련이 용이하다.)

BMTC is located in the center of Seoul and is easily accesible by all major public transportation links. Unlike many colleges and seminaries which are located away from the metropolis, BMTC offers excellent opportunities for outreach, education, and secular work.

4. 본 훈련원은 기본적인 신학훈련과 선교학연구를 토대로 한 이론과 실습을 병행하는 새로운 훈려방안을 훈련시키며, 특히 미전도 종족들을 대상으로하는 선교사 훈련에 중점을 둔다.

BMTC programs are designed to combine both theoretical and practical aspects of mission in order to train and then produce well balanced cross-cultural church planters. Obviously, reaching for the unreached people groups around the world is a top priority of BMTC.

5. 본 훈련원은 일반 신학교나 선교훈련원과는 근본적으로 성격을 달리하여 젊은 선교사 후보생, 자비량선교사, 전임선교사등 "선교사 후보생 중심" 의 훈련을 실시한다. 뿐 아니라 파송선교사는 아니나 훈련을 통해 후원선교사의 삶을 살기원하는 자들에게도 훈련의 기회를 부여한다. 이과정을 통해 선교의 비젼을 더욱 확산 시키는데 그목적이있다.

BMTC is not established to compete with any other Bible college, mission agency, or missionary training institute. BMTC is formed to train and then equip those individuals who sense the calling of God for world mission at any stage in life. Therefore, the programs at BMTC are suitable not only for the young missionary candidates but also for the tentmakers and young missionary candidtes but also for the thntmakers and the second-career missionaries. especially BMTC is open to by person who has vision to support missionaries in several ways.

6. 일정한 과정의 이수를 요구하는 전통적인 교육방법을 탈피하여 개인의 소명, 달란트, 학력, 사회경험, 교회헌신, 가족상황 등을 고려하여 개인의 필요를 최대한 감안한 훈련과정을 고안하여 이수토록 한다.

In recognition of various talents and educational background, there is no one set program designed for everyone. Rather, each program is designed to meet the individual need. A graduate of a Bible college would require lesser amount of time than a non-graduate to complete the required Biblical studies of BMTC.

7. 강사진은 타문화권 교회개척의 시제적인 경험과 선교학 이론을 겸비한 목회자들로써 선교훈련에 적합한 임물들이다.

All instructors have theoretical and practical background in the area of world missions. Many, if not all, have planted churches in cross-cultural environments and have academic training form accredited institutions in the United States, Australia, and Kirea.

8. 선교사의 안수 및 파송은 후보생이 소속되어있는 지방교회의 결정에 따른다.

BMTC is not responsible for ordaining and/or sending missionaries out once the required curriculum is successfully completed.

C. 훈련원의 목표 (GOALS OF BBI)

1.타문화권에서 성공적으로 교회개척을 할수있도록 훈련시킨다.

타문화권의 사회구조를 인류학적으로 분석하여 그들의 세계가치관측면에서 사역의 전략을 수립하고 실시한다.

Our goal is to train people to serve in cross-culthral environment. Traditionally, education for missionaries has been done from a mono-cultural, Western premise. BMTC trains people so that they can strategically be engaged in church planting by analyzing the host culture through the lens of their worldview.

2.훈련에 소모되는 시간과 경비를 최대한 절감하며, 소명의식이 투철하고 선교의 열정이 왕성할 때 파송될수 있도록 훈련한다.

Our goal is to train people so that the can be in the mission field as soon as possible. With this approach, the total cost of trainig can be reduced significantly and the missionaries can be in the mission field while their zeal is still fresh and "hot."

3."이론 중심의 기본적인 신학 교육" 과 "실습 중심의 선교단체의 훈련"을 병행함으로써 이론과 실습을 동시에 겸비할수 있는 훈련을 실시하여, 규형있는 선교사 훈련에 솸점을 맞춘다.

Our goal is to implement a non-traditional approach to missionary training. Bible colleges and seminaries tend to concentrare on theoretical areas, while mission agencies seem to place a heavier emphasis on hands-on training based on practical experience. Both approaches have merits and BMTC program combines the two and aims to produce missionaries who are competent in both areas of theory and practice.

4.성숙한 그리스도인으로써 하나님의 소명에 충실코자 하는자를 훈련시킨다. 본 훈련원은 영적, 사회적, 정서적, 연령적, 모든면에서 인격의 성숙한 모습을 충분히 과시한 후보생들을 훈련시킨다. (자비량, 장.단기선교사)

Our goal is to recruit people who are not only spiritually mature but have also demonstrated their social skills in their place of worship, smployment, and education. BMTC is not a Bible college, nor it is a mission agency, but is a professional organization established to train and equip those who are serious about world missions.
